Glad you didn't call me Shark. |
From Answers.yahoo.com:
“Well that really depend on the type of dog, for example if your dog is a super cute mega cuddly Yorky, you probably won't wanna name it Killer (but if you did it would be cute and funny) but here are some popular dog names: Max, Jake, Buddy, Sam, Kika, Fifi, Tinkerbell, Killer, Scout, Misty, Beau, Penny, Sparky, Dixie, Coco, Belle, Missy, Tasha , Shelby, Smokey, Pepper, Toby, Rusty, Ginger, Jack, Bandit, Buster, Butler, Lucky, Bear, Brownie, Mougly, Sugar, Star, Princess, Teddy, Shark, Cody, Coober, Shadow, Bentley, Gus, Blackie, Milo, Spike, Spot, Angel, Maggie and a lot of other cool names."
COMMENT: No Gizmo, Beowulf or Muddy. This is far from a complete list.
This site claims to have 6,000 dog names: http://www.dog-names.us/database.asp . Under affectionate there are these names Ace, Adonis, Amore (CAN’T IMAGINE SHOUTING “AMORE, COME”), Angel, Apple, Babe, Beau, Blossom, Bubba, Bubbles or Buttercup.
Gizmo’s original name was Zinfandel, which I thought sounded great until Grace had difficulty both remembering it and saying it. He became Gizmo because Grace thought it was a good name and I was given the opportunity to name our previous dog, a gentle, little Shih Tzu who was tagged with Beowulf. Also, it is well known that giving the name to the pet probably means that you will find it difficult to give the dog back. Her naming him Gizmo came at the time we were deciding if he was our dog or not.
